Bill Roberson got his start in photography at age 12 when his father let him use his Canon AE-1 SLR and three lenses. Self-taught, Bill fed his interest in photography by shooting for his high school newspaper (The Grantonian) and later in college with the Oregon Daily Emerald in Eugene. From there it was on to the Stockton Record in California. He has a B.S. in Communications and Film from the University of Oregon (1992).

Other publications included the Willamette Week in Portland, along with features in the now-defunct monthly magazine Portland Monthly. Nationally he has been published in American Photo magazine.

Along with still images, Bill also shoots video and includes clients such as DigitalTrends.com and Campbell/Salgado Photography, among others.

When not behind the camera, Bill works for the news website KATU.com, where he functions as a writer, producer, photographer, video editor and headline crafter.
